A tribute to Rocky (and Bullwinkle too)

October 26, 2010

Today is a sad day for Rocky Humbert.

Alexander Anderson, creator of Rocky (the flying squirrel) and Bullwinkle (the talking moose)  has died at age 90.

Rocky and Bullwinkle were icons of the 20th Century — inspirations to children and adults — and their creator will be missed.

According to the LA Times, Anderson passed away at a rest home in Carmal, CA last week. The cartoonist was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The full story and tribute can be found here:

[Disclosure:   Rocky Humbert is fond of the saying, "Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut. Hence, in lieu of flowers, a gift of roast acorns would be greatly appreciated."]
